On this page one can access information about how different countries of the region are using the new technologies in support of Education. We currently have available materials regarding how the solutions are applied in the following countries: 


Chile 

The National Campaign of Digital Alphabetization that took place in Chile, so far has trained more than 430,000 citizens (all over 15 years) in basic use of information technology and the Internet. The development of the Digital Alphabetization Campaign began in May 2003 and ended in December of this year. This is one of the many initiatives that are framed in the country strategy defined in the Digital Agenda for the 2004 – 2006 period. For more information, click here

México 

Digital Communication Centers and intermediary classrooms of Sonora State will be the first to benefit from 40 educational digital materials, which will be at the disposal of students, teachers and the general community. The state of Sonora will be the first in the country that will have more than 40 educational digital materials available with regards to Digital Communication Centers (DCC) and intermediary classrooms. The Program E-Learning has as its general objective to offer, with regard to the e_Mexico National System, new access options to education and qualification, that stimulate learning as a means for integral development of Mexicans, promoting the fact that education is accessible for any person, respecting their identity and their cultural surroundings. Panamá 

Connecting you to Knowledge: A concrete answer to actual reality that exists with respect to educational training in our country The academic focus that is used is based on: (a) significant learning, (b) Conceptual Maps, (c) Logical Thinking – Mathematics, (d) Curriculum Integration, (e) Communication and Collaboration (Synchronized and Asynchronous – in the School, between Schools). 
This project not only refers to the implementation of technology in schools, without also a change in the education paradigm, to the curriculum support of intermediary educators in the development of skills, to an improvement in intermediate instruction in the construction of knowledge, and to the work with information for future learning. El Salvador 

“The concept of Electronic Government, in the context of this strategy document, goes more into the use of technology or the assistance of online services. It is a question of reform of the State, much more ambitious, that aims to transform the means by which government relates to the citizens, private business and the different organizations of society, through a radical change in administration that promote efficiency and transparency in government interaction with users”.
