Customs & Migration In this page, one can access information on how different countries from the region are using the new technologies in support of Customs. We currently have materials regarding the applied solutions in the following countries: RED GEALC Workshop The workshop “Modernization of the Customs Systems: Transparency and its Impact on Collection”, took place in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, on August 2-4, 2006. This agreement foresees training activities on international negotiation as well as the dissemination of the plans of both Institutions. For more information about this issue, click here Bolivia The portal http://www.aduana.gov.bo is a product of the reform and modernization program (PROMA) of the National Customs of Bolivia (ANB). The site is specifically one of the products of the Implementation Reform Project in Customs Information Systems (PRISM). The objective of this project is the implementation of a computer science system that strengthens Custom’s Management and allows carrying out the automated registration of the customs procedures therefore facilitating foreign trade operations. Single Customs Window, Customs Department and the Undersecretary's office of Economy presented to the exporting and importing unions the One-stop Shop for Foreign trade initiative which will allow trade operators to present, through the internet, to a single station, almost all documentation necessary for the entrance and exit of merchandises. To download the document in PDF click here El Salvador The “Teledespacho” is an integrated system of information between clients, banks, customs and related institutions that allows establishing connections through a private network VPN (Virtual Private Network). It means that clients can connect with Customs without other internet users being able to access the data. For more information, click here. Nicaragua The Voluntary Strategy of Access to Information (EVA) positioned itself as a voluntary effort on the part of the previous government to secure the approval of a law of "Access to information" that claims to put a significant amount of government information to disposal of the citizenry. For more information about this solution, click here Paraguay SOFIA (Customs Tax Filing System) is a computerized Customs Management System for the Offices of Import and Export, which facilitates direct interaction among all users: Employees, Transport Companies, Customs Employees and other relevant actors in Foreign Trade. Perú The portal of the National Supervision of Tax Collection Administration (SUNAT) is divided in two sections: the Tax collector’s portal and the Custom’s agent Portal.
